I'm gonna be going around checking out 4 possible locations for us, and if I do find one that would work for us, I can have a mach set up by fall break. I was actually thinking about making it a 2 day op.

We've actually been discussing that. On like, 3 day weekends or something, use whats in the slush fund to drive up to OKC, grab some hotel rooms and we can spend up to 2 days up there playin airsoft.

OK, my Uncle just told me he's got some land that I won't need a permit for, but unfourtunately, we've got a problem. One of them is a huge steep-really steep- hill and the other is a forest with a density higher than mercury. And he's got no insurance, and doesn't know about any animals there that hunters might have fun with or if we fall of a cliff, he doesn't want to pay for it. Another option is to go with that first idea, with the land permit. But me and another one of the more important members in our group (the one with contacts) aren't getting along right now, so, we may have a problem. If I can get it, I'll notify you guys by tuesday. I hope. Oh, and I just realized, if all does not go well, I may be in D.C. over the weekend, I'll have the other guy run it, just meet up with him and ignore him as much as possible if you find him to be a bit of a hippocrite. He has an obvious problem with people different from him, so... yeah. But besides that I've got about 4 or 5 other guys there that are going to help you guys out. More info about it here: www.freewebs.com/airsoftmatches One more thing, the area in which we play is still not checked out, so wait for a saying before you tell your parents where it is.

We need to schedule something where all the Mods/admins can take a look at the land and decide whether or not the land is safe to use. If not, we will not use it and instead go with the $500 permit. Safety is the number one concern of the Altus Airsoft Association. Oh, and good work, it would've taken us forever to find a field, what with living in Altus and stuff.

OK, Now the problems arise. Apparently, we aren't able to recieve a land permit because the land doesn't belong to "nobody", it belongs to the state, and they are planning on turning it into a storm drain. I just came back from checking out the two plots of land my uncle has, and we are screwed. The one that is a hill is steep- really steep- and densly wooded too. The other one is in Edmond, and that's way too dense. So our last choices are to use the land illicitly (which I highly doubt we would want to do) and if we get caught claim that it was a "Anti-Drug" project, use the woods and bring some bulldozers, or hope and pray one of the other players in the OKC area has a uncle with a farm.
And one more thing, we need to know how many people will be there, and will be playing on which team. We have 2 teams fighting each other on the 2 days, and we have set up special positions for special people. Maximum 12 people and 5 positions are taken. Check the website for details, and sign up for a position here on the 77th Special Operations Armored Brigade or the 88th Tactical Airborne Division. Just make a post before you check out the website. And please, try to make the teams even.
Also, since this is going to be an all-crazy guyhter, we would like for you guys to bring your own tent and food if you are going to be camping out with some of the guys there. If you are do a hotel-thingy and crashing a McDonald's for food, we aren't providing you with anything, so be sure you have everything else you'll want before you pack up and head out.
And for all you who want to play, gimme your IMs/emails

i have a huge 5 room tent we could bring, with the central room having enough space for 3 people, so if we can finally get this site restarted! Also, Mongoose believes he can get a piece of land to use from his priest, so maybe we can use that eventually. Good work all on looking into this stuff! Its really going to look good on our College resumes...

Its really going to look good on our College resumes... Ok, if you want, one of the dense forested areas has 2 or 3 clearings we can set up tents and camps at, and a creek in the middle. Its not that big, only 2.18 acres, but it should be big enough for us at least, right? Even if we can't even see between the few clearings, much less walk, we might be able to get it clear within the Tuesday of next week. I have NCHO auditions and Tennis tryouts beforehand, on the last weekend before the match is scheduled so if any of you guys want to check it out, call this guy (405)722-0371 and ask for Tyler, he'll give you all the stuff you need to know, as well as the place to go to check it out. Or he should know about it anyway.

yeah I just went out to clear out a few of the more crowded clearings yesterday. I haven't found the creek yet even though it's supposedly there, but the clearings are definitely there, even if they are few and far between.
